ABOUT

Alexander Fox is a British writer for film, TV and stage.

(He also has a few radio scripts and the opening chapters of x2 novels kicking about, if you're keen...)

Alexander's background is in live comedy: he's been ever-present on the UK comedy and improv scene for a decade, and has performed at x8 consecutive Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. His x2 one-man shows, Ringo and Snare (Pleasance Courtyard) were both critically-acclaimed, and later transferred to London theatres. Meanwhile, the improv company he founded, Shaken Not Stirred: The Improvised James Bond Film, has become a Festival box office smash hit, with subsequent residencies in theatres across London as well as international tours to France, Holland and the USA.

Alexander has now pivoted to longer-form writing: not only comedy but also drama and, best of all, that sweet spot between the two. He has deliberately taken time to build up and hone a diverse slate of writing. Finally, he now feels he possesses a body of work which demonstrates his ability to tackle complex themes, biting and incisive dialogue and, in particular, flawed characters with internal contradictions at their core.

He has an M.A. in History from the University of Oxford.

Later, he went to the USA to train at Second City, iO Chicago, Mischief Theatre and UCB New York.
